Talonpoikaistyylinen (?) tuoli

Sain käsiini allaolevassa kuvassa olevan keltaisen tuolin rungon. Koska itselläni oli aivan samaa muotokieltä oleva tuoli, lähdin etsimään hieman tietoja tästä versiosta. En löytänyt kuvaa/ia selkä- ja istuinverhoilulla olevasta tuolista netin syvistä syövereistä, mutta olettaisin että tämä on suurinpiirtein samaa aikakautta. Omani on Kokemäkeläistä talonpoikaistyyliä, tämän mukaan; Suomen museo. Itse nojautuisin ehkä enemmän tuonne 20-luvun klassismiin. Aaaaanyway, pointtina se että oli tuolin tyyli mikä tahansa, olen sen aika raskaasti raiskaamassa...

I managed to get a hold of the yellow chair frame on the picture below. As I already had a chair with the same form I started looking for more information on this specific version. I couldn't find any pictures with the backrest and the seat upholstered in the internet, but I'd assume it is from the same time period. The chair I already have is according to the Finnish Museum a country rustic from the Kokemäki region. I would personally see the style as the 1920's classicism. Anyway, the point here is that regardless of the actual genre and it's stylistic requirements, I am going to go against it rather heavy handed.

Mitä väriä pintaan... Lämpimän keltainen houkuttelisi säväyttävän verhoilukankaan kera. Niinkuin myös korkeakiiltoinen punainen. Toisaalta taas turvallinen keskiharmaa sopivalla kankaalla voisi olla "kiva". 

Siinä sitä mietittävää. Tarkoitus kuitenkin olisi kunnostaa 2 tuolin runkoa myyntiin, eikä vaan itseä miellyttämään. Toisaalta, itsellä on kyllä niin mittava tuolifetishi ettei pari lisää tekisi pahaa. Voihan niitä aina laittaa vaikka seinälle hyllyiksi roikkumaan....

The color is going to be a problem. A warm yellow with a dashing upholstery fabric is a tempting thought. As is high gloss red paint. On the other hand, a safe mid-grey with a suitably neutral fabric could be nice. I'll have to think on that. I'm supposed to refurbish 2 of these chair frames for sale, not just for my own pleasure. Although, failing a sale, I have a somewhat extensive chair fetish so a few more wouldn't hurt. I could always hang them on the wall to work as shelving...

Tuota tuolin väriä miettiessä ajattelin aloittaa tuon selkänojan verhoilupohjien tekemisellä. Kierrätys kunniaan ja puretusta huonekalusta taustalevy uusiokäyttöön. Selkänojan taustapuolelle laitan palan huopaa kankaan alle pehmeyttä tuomaan, etupuolelle mietin pientä pehmustetta ja ehkä paria nappia heftaustyyliin. 

While thinking on the paint color I chose to start upholstering the backrest. For the baseboards I used backing sheet from a dismantled old bookcase. On the outer board I'm going to use felt under the actual upholstery fabric to bring some softness to the shape. Still debating with the actual backrest piece, I'd like to put in thin PE-foam and maybe even couple of buttons.
